- ASP
- Application Service Provider
- An application service provider (ASP) is a company that offers individuals or enterprises access over the Internet to applications and related services that would otherwise have to be located in their own personal or enterprise computers.
- In the AANX context, ASPs provide
services that are of benefit to the
AANX community. Example: Secure Mail, Secure FTP, Secure Remote Access or EDI
- ASPs are accredited by the AANX through a structured process with emphasis on the application usefulness for the AANX community and the service levels offered to the application users.
- KeyTrust, Leadtec and Telstra are certified ASP's for the AANX.

- CASP
- Certificate Authority Service Provider

The CASP provides the PKI digital certificates, community directory and managed IPSec VPN tunnels.

- Certified Service Provider
- CSP's provide managed communications services for trading partner access to the AANX core network

- CAD (computer-aided design) software is used by architects, engineers, drafters, artists, and others to create precision drawings or technical illustrations.
- CAD data exchange between trading partners is one of the primary applications for the AANX network

- EDI
- Electronic Data Interchange is a standard format for exchanging business data. The standard is ANSI X12 and it was developed by the Data Interchange Standards Association. ANSI X12 is either closely coordinated with or is being merged with an international standard, EDIFACT.
- In the Australian automotive industry, EDI has been used for more than 15 years to facilitate supply chain messaging
- Leadtec provides EDI services for the AANX
